Guerre de Plume Productions is the production company of Martin Flusser, a screenwriter and director, as well as a non-fiction author.  He has written four current screenplays, directed two film shorts and published three books.

 

Flusser began his professional career as a staff writer on newspapers, moved to writing books, then finally came to the film business. Over the years he’s been a professional athlete,  a college instructor, a university administrator, a corporate executive and the director of an overseas art school.

 

This experience, remarkable in its breadth, forms the foundation for all his work. He builds stories out of factual observation; his lens, a canted mix of humility and humor built upon the years of a contingent life.

He has studied in New York at HB Studios  with Tony-award winning director Jack Hofsiss (The Elephant Man on Broadway; films, Cat on a Hot Tin Roof,  I’m Dancing As Fast As I Can );and with Adrienne Weiss, Associate Professor at the Columbia University film program. In LA, with Judith Weston and Ruth Atkinson.
